Dynamic VS. Agent Defined VS. Lead Defined
- Dynamic - We take the listing the lead was looking at when they registered along with whatever other homes they viewed on the website, and we create an active listing alert based off of those criteria. Then the listing alert continually updates according to what the lead looks at when they revisit the site.
- Agent Defined - This is a listing alert that you (the agent) have created or edited when you know what the lead wants, needs, or is qualified for. This allows you to send them exactly what they want to see.
- Lead Defined - This is a listing alert that the lead has created or edited while they were browsing on your home search website, and have decided to save the search and receive listing alerts for it.
You can tell what the listing alert type is set to by looking at the "Search Type" column in Stars.
Ability to Toggle Between Search Types For Each Listing Alert
When you create or edit a listing alert, you can choose if you want the search criteria to remain static after you (the agent) have configured it, or have the search update dynamically (based on the lead's home search activity) even after you edit the search.
If a lead has updated an existing search or created a new one, you (the agent) will have to consciously override their preferences by unselecting this checkbox (see screenshot below). Once unselected, you can choose Dynamic or Agent Defined.
