Many clients have asked us how they would be able to setup Facebook Lead Ads that you generate yourself to get properly imported into your CRM of choice, and imported into the Ylopo system. The following guide is specifically for Follow Up Boss users, although could be adapted for Contactually, Infusionsoft, and many other CRM’s! NOTE: Liondesk users should use the native Liondesk Lead Ads integration, you will not need to do this via Zapier.
Step 1: Get a Zapier Premium account, in order to get Facebook Lead Ads into FUB and from there automatically into Ylopo you’ll need a connector platform such as Zapier. There are other platforms that are similar to Zapier, but it is by far the most popular when it comes to connecting several platforms together.
Once you have created a Zapier account, click on “Make a Zap” and on your first “Trigger” type in Facebook Lead Ads and select it:
Step 2: Click on the “new lead trigger”
Step 3: Connect Your Facebook Account that you're running your ads by clicking on “Connect an Account”
Step 4: Select the Page and the Lead Form that you would like leads imported into your CRM.
Step 5: Finish your “Trigger” and now Add an “Action” and choose Follow Up Boss from the menu options:
Step 6: Choose “create or update contact” option:
Step 7: Connect your FUB account based on your API key inside FUB. To get your FUB API key, go to the “Admin” section of FUB and click on “integrations”:
Step 8: On the edit template section, make sure you populate the First Name, Email, and Phone Number from your Facebook Lead Ad.
Important Note: You must also name the “source” of these leads, this is critical - please name the source to be something that you can identify these leads. For instance, you could call it “FB Lead Ads”
Step 9: Complete the process of creating this Zap, and turn it on! Your Lead Ads and your CRM are now connected. Complete the step below to connect to Ylopo.
Step 10: Email email@example.com and let them know that you have created a NEW lead source that you want to auto-import.
In the email provide the EXACT SOURCE name that you used in the above zap (ex. “FB Lead Ads”). We will set your backend up so that any leads imported from this lead source will be automatically added to Ylopo!
Important Note: If the leads you generate from FB Lead Ads does not have an address for us to create a listing alert around, you should provide support with a “generic search” (ex. Miami, $200-$500K) so that we set a generic listing alert if we don't find a suitable address associated with that lead.
