The Home Search Site is the heart of your Ylopo platform. This is where all marketing is directed and leads are generated. The site is optimized to work for all browsers and cell phones so it is clean and quick to load.
Home Page
A client is first greeted with this page which offers a search bar in the middle of the screen. Here they can search by city, neighborhood, zip code, or school. Many clients bypass this screen since they come to your site from a listing or ad they viewed.
Gallery View
Once the search is entered the lead is taken to the search results page. From here they view all the listings from their search and can filter that search down further by price, number of beds and baths, home types, and more. The lead can sort how they want to view the listings from the available options below.
Filtering under more can search Active and Sold listings along with those with Open Houses and Additional Statuses, including reduced process and photos only. Here the lead can add parameters for square footage, the year built, and days on the site. This section is where the lead can search for a particular MLS or homes near a specific address. Please note that included amenities will vary based on your MLS.
Map View
Similar to filtering by different parameters the lead has the option of using the Map View.
The map view can be spilt between viewing the map and listings. The lead can manage how they want the page to be divided. The same filters and sort options are available here as they were with the list view. In map view, the default is Street Map. On the street view, the lead can zoom in or out and drop the person icon anywhere to view the street and surrounding area as captured by google maps.
Selecting Layers provides the option to move to the Hybrid map view.
With the Hybrid map view, you can see some terrain, roads marked out and named, and areas are marked such as suburbs.
A simple alternative to adding all areas to your search is to draw them on the map. This is often easier when cutting out a specific search area where the lead wants to leave out certain areas.
To do this select Draw and circle the area you want to include. To return to searching all listings, select Remove Boundaries.
Creating Account and Logging In
While viewing listings from either the gallery or maps view the lead can favorite listings by selecting the heart icon and save their searches with the Save Search button at the bottom. To do this the lead must first register for the site. Leads are sent a series of questions before they register to help qualify the lead.
Those registered can log in here or at the Login Quicklinks at the bottom or Sign at the top right. New leads logged into Facebook will see the option to log in using their Facebook credentials. By selecting the Register Now option leads are sent a series of questions before they register to help qualify the lead.
When signed in, the lead can view their favorite homes or saved search by clicking on their name on the top left.
Here the lead can update their email and make changes to their favorites or searches.
Viewing a Listing
When viewing a listing, the lead is drawn in by the pictures featured at the top. The details with status, price, address, and MLS are on the left with a full expandable description in the middle.
Most listings have several photos provided. To view all photographs, they need to click on one of the images. Doing this pulls up a window with all pictures in a gallery view.
If a lead would like to view an image in greater detail they can select that image. Doing this will move the image to scroll view.
Further down shows an interactive map of the area. This map can be zoomed in and out, drop the person icon for live view, add Terrian filter, and switch to satellite view.
The Payment Estimate is a great tool that provides the lead with options to calculate their Total Estimate cost. They can enter down payment, interest rate, and terms and adjust to see how these can impact the total estimated cost.
As the lead scrolls through the listing, the right side will provide an option to select to tour in person or via video chat. If this option is selected, you receive this notification with a Handraiser tag. Directly under this is your contact information and your lenders if you have one added to your account.
Under the listings, information is suggested similar listings.
These listings are based on the current listing viewed and searched. This can assist the lead in further expanding their search.
Nearby Listings (on search results page)
The geometric center of the returned results for the search in question (so if the search finds 3 listings in ‘Newburyport, MA’ we will locate the average lat/long of these listings) and we then expand around that point in increments of 10 km (about 6 miles) until a maximum of a 25-mile radius.
We can stop after just 10km though if we match enough listings and only return those in the Nearby Listings section, which is why you'll likely see disparities between some searches.
In some cases there can be many listings located closely together so the radius would only expand 10km, in some cases there are many spaced-out listings so the radius would expand to 20km, 30km, etc until ‘enough’ results are returned.
