Automated lead nurture is only as good as the intelligence behind it, and with Ylopo Behavioral texting, you're getting cutting-edge texting using sophisticated artificial intelligence that doesn't step on your own communications. A complex set of lead activities trigger our text messaging, and we're adding additional data like property inquiry address to customize and personalize your texts.
How Behavioral Texts are Sent
Ylopo will text as the assigned agent's "assistant" from outside of your CRM, using a phone number that is not associated with you or your account, though it will be in the same area code. To the lead, it will look as though they are being texted from your assistant regarding their recent activity. Every time a behavioral text is sent, you'll see a note/comment in your CRM with the text sent. When a lead replies, we'll notify you by email, text, and CRM note/comment. If you're using Follow Up Boss, any collaborators on that lead will also be notified.
Frequency and Timing
Behavioral Texts are sensitive to a lead's frequency of activity, so they won't be sent when each time a lead performs a trigger activity, and texts are delayed so that the lead won't suspect they're automated. We send these texts between 8AM to 9AM and 5PM to 6PM your local time.
Many of our behavioral text triggers are similar to Priority Lead Activities (see more on those HERE). If you complete a Priority Lead task for any of your leads within 10 hours of the priority notification, we will not send a behavioral text to that lead, since you've already followed up with them personally.
We also use language processing and sentiment analysis to score every lead response as positive, negative, or neutral. A response that our analysis scores as definitively negative will trigger our system to automatically opt the lead out of future texts. When Ylopo opts out a lead, you'll see a message in your CRM note: "This lead has opted out."
You can also opt out any lead manually by clicking the notification link. For Follow Up Boss users, leads in the Hot Prospect or Trash stages in Follow Up Boss will not receive Behavioral Texts.
Sometimes our system may opt out a lead who should receive more texts, especially if they reply with a "No but," kind of response, so you can also use the notification link to opt a lead back in.
Here's just a few of our behavioral text trigger activities:
- Saved a listing
- Returned to the site to view more listings
- Saved a new search
- Requested a showing/info
Behavioral Text Message
Each text message varies depending on what triggered it, and each of our trigger activities has 2 potential responses, chosen at random, so if a lead performs the same trigger, they'll still get a new text! We also send nudge texts after selected text messages to encourage your leads to respond.
What a Lead's Response Will Look Like
When a lead responds to a behavioral text, we send a text, email and CRM note/comment notification. In your CRM, the note will look like this:
Note that the first note (on the bottom) shows the text that was sent, and the second (on top) shows the sent text and the response. You can also see the Opt Out and Opt In links for each response.
How to Make the Most of Behavioral Texting
- As soon as you are notified that a lead responded to a Behavioral Text, you should call and text that lead. Be sure to reference the details of the lead's response!
- If you need to opt a lead out of behavioral texting, click the opt out link in your email notification or CRM note right away!
How to Turn Off Behavioral Texts
We only recommend that you turn off Behavioral Texting for individual leads, and not for your account as a whole. To do so, please reference this article for more details: How to Turn Off Behavioral Text.
